Square Church

Square Church

Another shot of the in-ruins "Square Church". It's not actually square, but it got its name from the adjacent chapel that is square (and is the only remaining square church in Britain - but now used as Arts centre: music, dance, theatre.)

The steeple here is quite a landmark, and was rumoured to be on a list of buildings to demolish (due to fears of it being unstable). I believe repairs were done to it instead. It would be a shame to lose this.

  • A fine, appealing image. The tilt is a good way of getting the steeple in a picture without too much dead space. Fine work.

  • Interesting angle. I like the darkening sky as well.

  • The church stands out really well against the sky's gradient. And the tilt is just the extra push this image needed to be outstanding!

  • Love the tilted angle on this. Adds a lot of drama. Well done.
