Ullswater from Helvellyn

Ullswater from Helvellyn

A late afternoon walk up Helvellyn on a perfect weather day gave me this glorious view. The two hours it took to get there was well worth it! Helvellyn is 950 metres above sea level, and I think I walked up 750 metres of it from where I'd parked the car.

The path to the left is Swirral Edge, and that's Ullswater in the distance.

Exifs:

ISO 100

  • This is fantastic, it creates the illusion that you're suspended mid-air.

The clouds though! Fantastic! It's as though they're sat on an invisible flat line. You've captured the shadowing perfectly too.
