Halifax Parish Church

Final photo from this 'mini-series'... The is the Halifax Parish Church itself. Very, very weather-beaten that the stone is really dark, almost black in places. I did do some lens correction, but any more and it just didn't look right.

Exifs:

Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
f 11
1/40 sec
11 mm
ISO 100
LENS : Canon 10-22mm

  • Very lovely tones and nice patterns in the sky, but badly in need of perspective correction unless it is really ready to fall over.

  • well personally i don't mind the perspective as it comes out of the tin; nice shot.

  • I think you have two options with such a wide angle view of perspective - either correct it if it's slightly off kilter or, as in this case, be big and bold and accentuate the lean.

  • Great shot! The leaning tower things is what makes it interesting for me :) Works really well in B&W. (I just now found your site and I'm looking through your archive. I like your work!)

  • For some reson the shape of the cloud really enhances this shot for me. Good choice going for B&W on this one too.

  • I like this In B&W and the lean on the building and the clouds give it a special touch

  • The wide angle look and the distortion of the building adds to the impact for me. I like the deep treatment.
    Very dynamic shot. Well done.

  • Heh I'm falling!
Nice post processing and detail in the shot, I might have cloned the "washing line" out of the shot (far left).
