A Fog Descends

A Fog Descends

Here's another shot from the Shibden Park area from the same day as the previous image, though as you can see the fog has rolled back in. The colours were quite dreary thanks to the (lack of) light so I decided to process this one in B&W.

Some more black and white tree-action over at zenith9

  • I like the leading into the mist with the walls and the disappearing trees. Looks like we got into a similar groove with these bleak colourless days we've been having!

  • I like the composition and arrangement within the frame. The fence and rock wall work very well in the shot. The
prime factor, for me, is the wonderful fog. Excellent image.

  • Dark and brooding. Just my sort of cuppa.

  • This is really dark and kinda reminds me of World War 1 trenches (but that's probably just my twisted mind :). The mist adds alot of atmosphere. Great shot!

  • This looks great in B&W. The thick fog partially obscuring the distant trees sets a really somber mood.

  • Love those trees in the background. This is definitely suited to b/w

  • Being from Kentucky, I love to see old rock walls like this. Wonderful shot and in b/w it's perfect!

  • Yeh I like this, good capture of a cold morning scene.

  • A fine and mysterious atmosphere...

  • Don't know why but it's a great and interesting view with this fog, B&W is just right chosen.

  • STUNNING...! Beautiful and perfect... Do you want me to go on?

  • Fog is such a pleasure for photographers. This morning I almost took a bus stop halfway my destination, because the fog and the frost made everything so extraordinary.

  • I wouldn't be too surprised is Sherlock walked into frame. A gorgeous, brooding shot.
