Swirling Currants

Swirling Currants

I got inspiration for this whilst browsing online looking for off-camera flash cords. This was taken with what I had to hand - halogen light shining down from above, and the 430EX flash unit pointing up, set to maximum strength.

The first few attempts were with a tomato, but it filled the frame too much in the not-too-large vase I was using. This is the one and only shot I took with currants. I was pleased with how it's turned out.

  • Looks great! It's turned out really well. I love these kind of shots, they really capture movement, and are clean and clinical at the same time.
    Good show!

  • The water has a wonderful soft color. It really makes for the whole photo. Nice capture!
