Been looking back through my pictures I took at Shibden Park, Halifax a few weeks ago. Thought I'd make use of this one. I like it due to the horizontal and vertical lines thanks to the wood and railings, and the large reflection.

  • Nice B&W shot. Like the quality of the reflection and the sharpness of the shot.

  • I like the contrast most. It looks a tad oversharpened on my work monitor but that does have a tendency to show up any jaggy lines. I've often looked back at some of mine and they look too sharp at work. Not that I'm browsing your photoblog from work, of course. Perish the thought. I'm far too busy encoding media, *cough* ;)

  • I like the reflections and personally I think cropping (or retaking) the right hand side so that just the boathouse and those reflections are left would improve it - it might make a suitable graphic image as, as suggested, the dominant part is the boathouse doors. Coverting to mono is a real plus I think.

  • I really like this. I think it works in B&W and has a very peaceful feel to it.

  • Looks good from here and as Milou says there is lots of potential to maybe get a bit more from this area :)
