Gibson Mill

Gibson Mill at Hardcastle Crags is a 19th century Cotton Mill which has now been turned into a visitor's centre. I think B&W suits its Industrial Revolution heritage. The water wasn't as still as I would have liked, and I had to do the right-hand cropping as there were people there who didn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon.

  • Very nice, I like the balance in the reflection and the tone reminds me of wnen I worked with Ilford B/W paper...very good indeed.

Was lens was that? slight curvature there but it doesn't detract from the shot

  • I really like this. It works a treat in B&W and I love the way you've framed it.

  • Nice...

It has got real atmosphere here. Yes it would have been better with a more still lake but its still pretty good as it is.
