Benches

Taken at Manor Heath (the former 1850s home of John Crossley of Crossley Carpets, who used to own the world's largest carpet factory working out of Dean Clough.) It's a lovely place to visit, especially during summer. Lucky for me it's only a few minutes walk away. I decided to use B&W for this as I wanted to evoke a feeling of the Victorian period, where you could imagine the gentried society spending their afternoons here.

Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
f 5.6
1/250 sec
55 mm
ISO 100

  • Nice detail and contrast, good use of DOF as well here.

  • Nice work. Really like the repetition of the scrolls of the bench armrests.
