Blue

Blue

First attempt with lighting on a long-ish exposure. Really need to iron the cloth (or get some black card/thick paper!) Unsure about the heavy shadowing at the edges, which is probably my fault for not leaving the torch pointing long enough at those areas as I was passing it around the jar.

Exifs:

Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
f 8
10 sec
55 mm
ISO 100
LENS

  • I like that, nice blue and the light looks about right to me. Nice idea and nice try.

  • I like this. If I didn't know you'd "painted with light" I'd have been wondering where the light source was coming from. Very good.

  • Nice effect. I quite like the lines of highlight along the edges of the handles. WHSmiths do A2 card in various colours quite cheap which is ideal for stuff like this :)

  • yet to try painting with light. Looks like a good first attempt to me. Definitely carry on with it, I'd say.

  • Nicely done. I like the colors of the jar and the light that falls around it, as well as the texture of the cloth, but agree wth your comment about ironing out the creases.

  • I like this, it looks like something magic or something...

Love the detail and lighting that is used to great effect.

  • I absolutely LOVE this shot! However, I have to disagree about the creases... Change your own perspective and see if you can also see the Menacing Pig figure in a bowler hat (The crease creates an illusion of broad shoulders)!!! You have so much talent. Thanks for sharing...
