I thought the sharp edges of the Palm tree would make a decent abstract shot. Didn't do much for me in colour so processed in B&W

  • This one works very well in B&W!

  • That's rather lovely! The sharp fronds against the soft background work great and the b&w is a neat touch.

  • Definately looks like B&W gave it more impact, nice shot.

  • Quite like the symmetry to the shot, and yes B&W really gives it impact. Nice one!

  • It's almost as if someone carved this into my monitor! Great contrast and sharpness.

  • Like the B&W tones! They are giving this one a metallic look and feel...

  • Nice control of DoF. The out-of-focus rectangluar shapes provide an interesting background for the plant. I like the tones you have captured in the B&W conversion.

  • Nice work, looks all the better for monochrome.

  • Well I think the b & w makes this shot. Good eye. I wouldn't have thought of this shot and it turned out wonderfully!
